This specialist provision supports students aged 7–18 with a wide range of additional needs, including learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), social anxiety, and physical disabilities. Every student has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and benefits from a personalised curriculum that promotes academic progress, independence, confidence, and essential life skills.As part of a collaborative and highly supportive team, you will play a key role in creating an environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to succeed.The Role
As a Maths SEN Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated maths lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEND. You will work closely with support staff and other professionals to ensure students can access learning, develop numeracy skills, and make meaningful progress both academically and personally.Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, differentiated maths teaching to students with a range of complex SEND needs.Adapt lessons, resources, and teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles and abilities.Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support individual learning journeys.Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence, independence, and achievement.Monitor, assess, and celebrate student progress, using data to inform future planning.Build positive, trusting relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Who We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.Experience teaching Maths, ideally within a SEND, specialist, or inclusive educational setting.Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Conditions, learning difficulties, and complex additional needs.A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach to teaching and learning.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.A genuine commitment to inclusive education and improving outcomes for every learner.
