  • Provide technical review and guidance across the design, construction and operation of engineering systems.
  • Identify technical risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies and solutions.
  • Review engineering designs and provide technical input into the selection and evaluation of third-party vendors.
  • Participate in the detailed design of new engineering systems and coordinate technical reviews ahead of procurement and construction.
  • Review third-party design packages, ensuring compliance with project standards, specifications and relevant industry best practice.
  • Coordinate with clients and third parties on quality assurance, quality control, installation and system testing.
  • Support commissioning and witness commissioning activities, providing technical observations and recommendations where required.
  • Follow up on technical defects, rectification works and outstanding actions through to successful close-out.
  • Review as-built documentation and engineering records to support project acceptance and handover.
  • Maintain and update engineering documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Produce regular technical reports covering engineering progress, design and construction issues, actions and required follow-up.
  • Present technical improvements, modifications and recommendations to relevant project stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for a technically strong engineering professional with 10+ years' experience working within complex engineering, construction or mission critical environments.

You will ideally have experience delivering or supporting large-scale data centre projects, with a strong understanding of engineering systems, design development, construction and commissioning.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Strong technical engineering and project delivery experience.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders, contractors, consultants and specialist vendors.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to analyse technical risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to project management.
  • Experience reviewing technical designs, specifications and engineering documentation.
  • A strong understanding of quality, health & safety, environmental and sustainability requirements.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against key project milestones.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset.

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • A postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management would be advantageous.
  • Relevant professional engineering or project management accreditation is desirable.

Why This Opportunity?
