About Opportunity

Our client is a leading global project and programme management consultancy delivering some of the world’s most complex mission critical infrastructure projects. Due to continued growth across the APAC region, they are seeking an experienced Technical Lead (Electrical) to support the delivery of large-scale hyperscale data centre developments.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in data centre design and engineering to take on a regional leadership role, working alongside clients, consultants and contractors to deliver complex new-build projects across APAC.

The Role

As the Technical Lead (Electrical), you will provide technical leadership throughout the design and delivery process, ensuring electrical systems are fully coordinated, compliant and aligned with client standards and project requirements.

Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will review technical documentation, coordinate design interfaces and support the successful delivery of high-profile mission critical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical review and coordination of electrical, plumbing and fire protection designs across major data centre developments.
• Review engineering documentation to ensure compliance with client standards, technical specifications and industry best practice.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance during design reviews, resolving engineering challenges and driving design optimisation.
• Support QA/QC reviews and ensure design deliverables meet programme, cost and quality objectives.
• Coordinate technical interfaces across CSA, MEP, Controls and EHS disciplines.
• Review Revit and BIM models to identify opportunities for design improvements and enhanced constructability.
• Support the development of technical documentation, specifications and scope of works.
• Participate in client meetings, technical workshops and design coordination sessions.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant international standards, regulations and data centre best practices.

About You

We are keen to speak with experienced Electrical Engineers and Technical Leads who have a strong background delivering mission critical infrastructure projects within the data centre sector.

You will ideally have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline.
• 15+ years’ experience designing and delivering electrical systems for data centres or other mission critical facilities.
• Strong understanding of critical electrical infrastructure, including UPS, switchgear, generators, power distribution and associated MEP systems.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams across complex construction projects.
• Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit and BIM platforms.
• Knowledge of international engineering standards and data centre design best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and technical leadership skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is advantageous.
