Protocol Education are recruiting an Active Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEMH setting in South Shields.

This role would suit someone who is confident, energetic and able to build strong relationships with pupils who may have experienced barriers to education.

Your Day Could Include:

• Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
• Working 1:1 and in small groups
• Supporting lessons
• Getting involved in PE and physical activity
• Using sport to engage pupils
• Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
• Encouraging positive choices
• Supporting pupils at break and lunchtime
• Building confidence and self-esteem
• Mentoring young people
• Helping pupils re-engage with education
