Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity in South Shields?

Protocol Education are working with specialist schools and SEND settings looking for confident, caring and experienced TAs to join their teams.

The right person will be able to build positive relationships with pupils while providing consistent support throughout the school day.

You Could Be Supporting Pupils With:

Autism
ADHD
SEMH
Moderate learning difficulties
Complex needs
Communication needs
Behavioural needs

Your Day Could Include:

Providing 1:1 and small-group support
Supporting pupils within lessons
Delivering targeted interventions
Encouraging communication and independence
Supporting positive behaviour
Helping pupils manage transitions and routines
Working alongside teachers and SEN professionals
Recording and feeding back on pupil progress

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Qualified to Level 2/3 TA standard or has strong equivalent experience
Experienced within SEND or mainstream education
Calm and consistent
Confident managing challenging situations appropriately
Patient and nurturing
A strong communicator
Reliable and committed to their pupils

Experience with complex SEND, autism or SEMH would be particularly beneficial.
