Level 3 Teaching Assistant – South Shields

Protocol Education are currently recruiting Level 3 Teaching Assistants for schools across South Shields.

If you have your Level 3 qualification and enjoy helping children overcome barriers to learning, we'd love to hear from you.

You could be working in a mainstream primary or secondary school, or within a specialist SEND environment depending on your experience and preferences.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting pupils across the school day
Working alongside the class teacher
Delivering interventions
Supporting literacy and numeracy
Providing 1:1 support where required
Supporting pupils with SEND
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment

What We're Looking For

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
Previous experience working with children or young people
School-based experience preferred
Strong communication skills
Good understanding of safeguarding
A positive and flexible approach
Ability to work effectively as part of a team

SEND experience is desirable but not essential for all positions.
