Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time Only
Pay: £95–£110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Protocol Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in South Shields seeking a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
The successful candidate will support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, working alongside class teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences and provide targeted intervention support.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils across the primary curriculum
- Delivering small group intervention sessions
- Supporting children with additional learning needs
- Assisting with phonics, literacy and numeracy activities
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress
- Supporting classroom preparation and organisation
Working Hours:
- Monday: 8:30am – 3:45pm
- Tuesday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
- Wednesday: 8:30am – 3:45pm
- Thursday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 3:15pm
Requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Previous school-based experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Full-time applicants only
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply and pay for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
