We're partnering with a specialist school in South Shields looking to appoint an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping children with additional needs develop the skills they need for everyday life.

Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions while supporting teachers and support staff to embed therapeutic strategies into daily classroom practice.

Role Details

• Full-time
• September start
• Monday-Friday
• 8:30am-4:30pm
• Term-time only
• Long-term placement

Responsibilities

• Completing occupational therapy assessments
• Developing and reviewing therapy programmes
• Delivering sensory integration activities
• Advising on specialist equipment and seating
• Supporting classroom staff with therapeutic techniques
• Monitoring progress and producing professional reports

We're looking for

• HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist
• Excellent assessment and clinical reasoning skills
• Experience within education or paediatrics desirable
• Positive, collaborative approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication
