Protocol Education is recruiting an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to support a specialist educational setting in South Shields from September.

You'll play a vital role in helping pupils develop the motor, sensory and functional skills they need to participate confidently in school life while working alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team. Children's OTs regularly assess, plan and deliver evidence-based interventions across education, home and community settings.

• Full-time
• September start
• Monday-Friday
• 8:30am-4:00pm or 8:30am-4:30pm
• Term-time only

Your responsibilities

• Delivering individual and group therapy sessions
• Completing assessments and writing reports
• Supporting sensory regulation programmes
• Advising staff on therapeutic strategies
• Recommending adaptive equipment
• Supporting pupils' independence and participation

Requirements

• HCPC Registration
• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Passion for supporting children with SEND

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
