Protocol Education are looking for Sports Coaches to work as Teaching Assistants within a specialist SEMH setting in South Shields.

This could be a brilliant next step for someone who wants to take their coaching experience into a school environment.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll support pupils both inside and outside the classroom by:

• Building relationships through shared interests
• Supporting SEMH and behavioural needs
• Helping pupils engage with learning
• Supporting PE and sporting activities
• Working 1:1 and in small groups
• Encouraging teamwork and communication
• Supporting positive behaviour
• Helping pupils manage emotions
• Mentoring pupils
• Promoting confidence and resilience
• Being a consistent positive role model

Permanent Opportunity

The school is looking for staff who could become part of their team longer term.

For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to progress from the temporary role into a permanent position.

Ideally, You'll Be Able to Drive

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle would be highly desirable, although we can consider candidates on an individual basis.

Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm

This is a full-time, term-time position.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
