Protocol Education are looking for sports coaches and sporty graduates who are interested in transferring their skills into a Teaching Assistant role.
We're working with specialist education settings in South Shields supporting young people who may experience SEMH needs, behavioural difficulties, low confidence or barriers to learning.

Your Day Could Include
- Supporting pupils within lessons.
- Running or assisting with sporting activities.
- Working 1:1 with pupils.
- Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Mentoring pupils.
- Encouraging positive choices.
- Helping pupils re-engage with education.
- Supporting break and lunchtime activities.
- Building relationships through shared interests.
- Encouraging independence and confidence.
Who Should Apply?
We're particularly interested in people with backgrounds in:

You don't necessarily need previous school experience. What matters most is your ability to connect with young people, remain calm under pressure and be a positive role model.
A driving licence and access to a vehicle would be a bonus.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
