Our client is a leading national infrastructure engineering business delivering complex projects across highly regulated and safety-critical environments throughout the UK.

Operating across major infrastructure, defence and industrial sectors, the business supports large-scale asset upgrades, engineering improvements and long-term infrastructure programmes. With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued investment across the South West, they are looking to strengthen their Electrical Engineering capability with the appointment of an Electrical Engineer.

About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer, you will support the delivery of electrical engineering solutions across major infrastructure and defence-related projects within a highly regulated environment.

Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and client stakeholders, you will support electrical modifications, upgrades and infrastructure improvements across complex operational facilities. The role will involve technical design, engineering support and project delivery activities across the full project lifecycle.

This role would suit someone with experience in regulated sectors such as nuclear, defence, infrastructure, oil & gas or heavy industrial environments.

Due to the nature of the projects, candidates MUST be Sole UK Nationals and eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance.

The key responsibilities for this Electrical Engineer role are:

- Support the delivery of electrical engineering projects across infrastructure and asset upgrade schemes
- Assist with the development of electrical designs and technical solutions
- Produce and review technical documentation, calculations and engineering reports
- Support project delivery from concept through to installation and commissioning
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders and client representatives
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations and engineering procedures
- Support installation, commissioning and testing activities where required
- Provide technical input into project planning, reporting and risk assessments

Experience required for this Electrical Engineer role are:

- HND or Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Experience within highly regulated industries such as nuclear, defence, infrastructure or oil & gas
- Experience supporting LV and HV electrical systems
- Understanding of electrical engineering standards and safety regulations
- Experience producing technical reports and engineering documentation
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- MUST be a Sole UK National and eligible for Security Clearance

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Electrical Engineer role are:

- Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership
- Experience within defence, dockyard, marine or MoD environments
- Experience using ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical or similar software
- Knowledge of HV systems and power distribution networks
- Experience supporting asset lifecycle or infrastructure upgrade projects
