Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?

We are currently recruiting SEN Support Teaching Assistants to work within mainstream primary schools, supporting pupils who are awaiting an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) assessment or decision. These rewarding roles are available on both a daily supply and long-term basis.

The Role

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with identified or emerging SEN needs
• Supporting children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs
• Helping pupils access the curriculum and engage positively in classroom activities
• Implementing strategies recommended by SENCOs and external professionals
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
• Building strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents to support pupil progress

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school, childcare, or similar setting
• A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs
• A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

Desirable

• Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs
• Relevant Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or SEN qualifications
• Knowledge of EHCP processes and SEND provision within schools
