About the Role

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming primary school in Stevenage. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant to play a key role in helping pupils achieve their full potential across the primary age range.

Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team, you will provide high-quality classroom support, deliver targeted interventions, and contribute to creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
Work with individuals and small groups to raise attainment and boost confidence.
Deliver structured intervention programmes in literacy and numeracy.
Support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND.
Help to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
Assist with classroom preparation, displays and learning resources.
Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' social and emotional development.
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

The Ideal Candidate

Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
Have recent experience working within a primary school setting.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
Be confident supporting learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
Be proactive, adaptable and enthusiastic about children's learning.
Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
