SEN Teaching Assistant Required in Streatham
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Streatham area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children with additional needs reach their full potential in a nurturing educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Support students with their academic, social and emotional development.
- Assist pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language Difficulties and Learning Difficulties.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff.
- Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- A patient, caring and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
- Must hold a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
