Protocol Education is working with a specialist SEND school seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), complex medical needs, and Autism.

The school provides a highly supportive environment where every child is encouraged to reach their individual potential.

Main Duties:

  • Supporting pupils with learning activities
  • Assisting with personal care and feeding where required
  • Supporting sensory-based learning programmes
  • Working alongside therapists and healthcare professionals
  • Promoting communication and independence
  • Recording observations and pupil progress

Working Hours:

  • Monday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
  • Tuesday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
  • Wednesday: 8:30am – 3:45pm
  • Thursday: 8:30am – 4:15pm
  • Friday: 8:30am – 3:15pm

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with SEND pupils (desirable)
  • Be caring, patient and proactive
  • Be comfortable supporting personal care needs
  • Have excellent teamwork skills
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply and pay for one
  • Be available on a full-time basis

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
