Protocol Education is recruiting a passionate History Teacher to join a successful and supportive secondary school in the Sunderland area. The school is recognised for its high expectations, inclusive ethos and commitment to helping every student achieve their very best both academically and personally.

Joining an established Humanities department, you'll become part of a collaborative team that values creativity, engaging teaching and delivering lessons that encourage students to think beyond the textbook.

Applications are welcomed from experienced History Teachers as well as Early Career Teachers looking to establish themselves within a supportive school environment.

You'll be responsible for teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering lessons that encourage debate, investigation and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging History lessons.
  • Helping students develop strong analytical and evaluative skills.
  • Supporting learners with varying abilities to achieve their potential.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assessing progress and providing meaningful feedback.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the Humanities department and school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
