We're looking for experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support a number of schools across Sunderland, including smaller schools and specialist provisions that can be difficult to access via public transport.

If you're a confident HLTA who enjoys supporting different settings and helping pupils succeed, we'd love to hear from you. Applicants with their own transport are highly encouraged to apply.

About the role

• Full-time
• September start
• Monday-Friday
• 8:30am–4:00pm or 8:30am–4:30pm
• Term-time only
• Long-term placement

Responsibilities

• Delivering pre-planned lessons
• Leading intervention groups
• Supporting pupils across a range of abilities
• Working alongside class teachers
• Monitoring pupil progress
• Creating a positive learning environment

Requirements

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexible approach to working across different schools

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
