PMLD Teaching Assistant - Sunderland

Location: Sunderland
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:45pm
Contract: Full-Time

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic PMLD Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of complex learning, communication, and physical needs within a specialist provision in Sunderland.

The Role

Providing classroom support on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Assisting with sensory learning activities
Supporting students with communication and interaction
Assisting with personal care and mobility when required
Working closely with teachers and therapists
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Ideal Candidate

Caring, patient, and empathetic
Comfortable supporting pupils with varying needs
Positive and proactive attitude
Previous SEND, care, or support experience is welcomed
Drivers are advantageous due to the nature of the role and school location

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
