We're recruiting experienced HLTAs to work within specialist SEN schools and resource provisions across Sunderland supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), SEMH and complex additional needs.

As many of our specialist schools are located outside of the city centre, drivers with access to their own vehicle are particularly encouraged to apply.

Role Details

• Full-time
• September start
• Monday-Friday
• 8:30am–3:30pm or 8:30am–4:30pm
• Term-time only

Responsibilities

• Delivering targeted SEND interventions
• Covering lessons when required
• Supporting pupils with EHCPs
• Working alongside teachers, therapists and SENCOs
• Encouraging independence and confidence
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress

Ideal candidate

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• SEND experience preferred
• Driver with access to a vehicle
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• Passion for inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
