We're working with a number of specialist SEN schools and alternative provisions looking for passionate and dedicated SEN Teachers to join their teams on a full-time basis from September.

These settings support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), SEMH and complex needs. They're looking for teachers who can build positive relationships, adapt learning to meet individual needs and create a safe, engaging environment where every pupil has the opportunity to succeed.

Whether you're an experienced SEN Teacher or a mainstream teacher looking to transition into specialist education, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Creating a positive, nurturing and structured classroom environment
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and wider multidisciplinary teams
  • Developing and reviewing individual learning targets and EHCP outcomes
  • Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching strategies where needed
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
  • Promoting independence, confidence and personal development

We're looking for someone who

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Has experience working with children or young people with SEND, either within specialist or mainstream settings
  • Can confidently adapt teaching to meet a variety of learning needs
  • Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Is patient, resilient and passionate about inclusive education
  • Works well as part of a collaborative team
  • Is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
