Protocol Education is recruiting a Special Needs Classroom Assistant to support pupils in a specialist provision in Sunderland.

The school supports learners with autism, sensory needs and complex learning difficulties, delivering personalised learning in a structured and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom routines and structured learning
• Encourage positive social interaction
• Assist with sensory and regulation breaks
• Promote independence and self-help skills
• Provide a safe and engaging learning environment

Ideal Candidate:

• Compassionate and reliable
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• SEND experience beneficial but not essential
• Open to training and development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
