

Trauma-Informed Teaching Assistant

Many pupils in alternative provision have experienced trauma, instability or significant challenges outside school.
That’s why we’re looking for Trauma-Informed Teaching Assistants to join a nurturing Pupil Referral Unit (PRU).
This is more than a classroom role — it’s about creating safety, trust and stability.
What your day might look like:
Providing emotional and learning support
Helping pupils feel safe and regulated
Using restorative and trauma-informed approaches
Working collaboratively with pastoral teams and teachers

Empathetic and emotionally resilient individuals
Experience in care, support work or SEND is valuable
People who understand attachment and trust-building

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
