Location: Swindon with Hybrid working after probabtion
Summary
A leading civils infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager to join their team in Swindon and take the lead in quality on some of the UK's most prestigious major infrastructure projects.
As Quality Manager you will be responsible for;
- Managing quality initiatives within the business.
- Assisting the Head of Quality with Strategic Quality Planning
- Performing activities to train and educate staff in quality matters.
- Providing Quality Support and documentation for contract bids including developing Project
- Quality Plans and other deliverables.
- Carry out quality planning activities including developing contract Quality Plans and
- Deliverables.
- Delivering audits to company standard and in line with company audit schedule
- Carrying out Quality Improvement Projects.
- Support ECl/Bid Activity where detail quality deliverables are needed.
- Acting as the initial quality manager in the startup of new projects
- Performing Supply chain assessment and development duties as required.
- Carrying out ISO 9001 auditing activities.
- Assisting in developing and delivering training and education activities for non quality staff.
- Reviewing certification requirements and developing processes and procedures.
- Assisting the Head of Quality Management in ensuring Quality Procedures are reviewed and revalidated.
- Deputising for the Head of Quality Management when not available.
To be suitable for this Quality Manager position you will;
- Have experience working in the Civil Engineering, Construction or Heavy Infrastructure industries
- Have comprehensive understanding of project administration procedures.
- Computer literate (Particularly Excel and Word)
- Be able to carry out internal (Contract) and External (Supplier) quality audits
- Be familiar with using EDMS systems (Themis/ProjectWise/4Projects/A-Site etc.)
- 6.6 Comprehensive understanding of document control processes and procedures including knowledge of ISO 19650
Desirable Experience
- Membership to (CQI) Chartered Quality Institute (Desirable)
- Degree qualified in a relevant subject Quality Management, Civil Engineering etc
Salary / Benefits
Salary between £65,000-£75,000 negotiable dependant on level of experience plus package including; A Car or Car Allowance (£5,750) and competitive benefits package and long-term career development opportunities.
