Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team supporting multiple live and upcoming residential developments.
The role will be responsible for supporting the full commercial lifecycle of projects, including procurement, cost control, and contract administration, ensuring strong financial performance across all stages of delivery.
This is a key position working closely with operational and technical teams to support the successful delivery of residential schemes.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement and Commercial Management
- Manage subcontractor tendering and procurement processes across multiple projects
- Prepare, issue, and assess trade packages
- Negotiate subcontract orders to ensure best value and commercial competitiveness
Cost Control
- Monitor project budgets and expenditure across live developments
- Produce accurate cost-to-complete reports and financial forecasts
- Support valuations, variations, and final account settlements
Contract Administration
- Administer subcontract orders, payments, and variations
- Work with standard forms of contract (JCT experience preferred)
- Maintain accurate and timely commercial reporting and documentation
Project Support and Collaboration
- Work closely with site teams, technical, land, and buying departments
- Support the management of commercial risk and opportunity
- Ensure alignment between design, procurement, and construction delivery
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential housebuilding or construction
- Strong understanding of procurement, cost control, and subcontractor management
- Experience working with JCT contracts or similar standard forms
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and construction programmes
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills (COINS or similar systems desirable)
- Full UK driving licence required
