The Role

As an After School Club Assistant, you will help provide a safe, engaging and enjoyable environment for children at the end of the school day. You will support a range of activities, encourage positive behaviour, and help ensure children are well cared for until collection.

Responsibilities

• Supervising children aged 4 to 11 during after-school sessions
• Organising and supporting fun, creative and educational activities
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children
• Encouraging positive interactions and behaviour
• Assisting with snack time and daily routines
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

Requirements

• Experience working with children, either in schools, childcare, clubs, camps or similar settings
• A positive, energetic and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• A genuine passion for supporting young people
