Turnover Manager – Data Centre Project, Athens
Our client, an international M&E provider integrating with the main contractor on a major data centre project in Athens, is seeking a Turnover Manager to lead the turnover and handover process for the project's M&E systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall turnover and handover process for M&E systems in line with project, contractual and client requirements.
- Develop turnover plans and schedules aligned with project milestones.
- Coordinate turnover activities across construction, commissioning, QA/QC, engineering and project teams.
- Lead and support Turnover Engineers and other personnel involved in the turnover process.
- Oversee compilation and completion of project documentation, including as-builts, test records, certifications, O&M manuals and warranties.
- Coordinate system commissioning and ensure all M&E systems meet required performance and quality standards.
- Manage punch lists, outstanding works and defect closeout through to completion.
- Lead turnover meetings and provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders and the client.
- Coordinate client training and ensure handover packages are complete and compliant.
- Ensure all turnover activities meet relevant regulatory, quality and contractual requirements.
- Lead final project closeout and secure formal client acceptance and sign-off.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in M&E construction, commissioning, turnover or project closeout.
- Previous experience managing turnover or handover activities on large-scale projects.
- Experience leading teams and coordinating multiple project stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of M&E systems, commissioning and QA/QC processes.
- Experience managing project documentation, handover packages and closeout requirements.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and project management ability.
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant project/document management systems.
- Experience with BIM and digital project delivery platforms advantageous.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations and best practices.
