Are you passionate about supporting children and helping them achieve their full potential? A welcoming and inclusive school in the Wimbledon area is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in education. Whilst experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is preferred, it is by no means essential. SEN support is a learnable skill, and full guidance and support will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Support children with a variety of learning needs and abilities.
- Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and participation.
- Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
The Ideal Candidate
✔ Experience working with children is desirable but not essential
✔ Previous SEN experience is preferred; however, a willingness to learn and develop new skills is equally valued
✔ Positive, patient, and adaptable approach
✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✔ A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
✔ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
