Senior Project Manager - Wormington (Freelance, Outside IR35)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a major long-term project based in Wormington. This is a freelance opportunity operating outside IR35, offering long-term work on a high-profile civil engineering scheme.

The Role

You will take full responsibility for delivering a single-site project, leading the successful execution of early-stage heavy civil engineering works within a complex industrial environment. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership across engineering, safety, logistics, and programme delivery while working closely with the main contractor and key stakeholders.

Key Requirements

• Strong civil engineering background with extensive project management experience.
• Proven experience delivering heavy civil engineering projects, particularly early-stage works.
• Experience working within process plant and/or refinery environments.
• Previous experience with a Tier 1 blue-chip contractor is highly desirable.
• Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects or complex workstreams.
• Excellent knowledge of:
• Temporary works
• Engineering methods
• Logistics planning
• Project safety and CDM compliance
• Previous experience working for an EPC contractor is highly desirable, as the client is operating as the main contractor.
