Salary: £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Location: Field-based, UK-wide
Hours: 45 hours per week
Travel: Regular UK travel with overnight stays, with occasional overseas travel potentially required
We are looking for a UV Field Service Engineer to join a specialist water treatment business, working across water and wastewater treatment sites throughout the UK.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on the commissioning, servicing, maintenance and fault finding of specialist UV disinfection systems. You will work on complex electro-mechanical equipment, diagnosing electrical, mechanical and control system faults, carrying out preventative maintenance and supporting upgrades and breakdowns.
You will work closely with UV Technicians and customer teams, taking ownership of technical works and ensuring systems are operating safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities

Commission, service and maintain UV disinfection systems

Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and control system faults

Carry out planned and preventative maintenance

Support system upgrades, optimisation works and breakdown response

Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and technical documentation

Provide technical support and guidance on-site

Complete detailed technical service reports

Liaise with customers, site operators and project teams

Work safely within operational water and wastewater environments
What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar electro-mechanical engineering role

Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills

Experience within industrial, utilities, water or wastewater environments

Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings

Strong problem-solving skills

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Full UK driving licence

Willingness to travel across the UK and stay away from home
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, 18th Edition, ECS/CSCS, EUSR Water Hygiene or PLC experience would be advantageous but are not essential.
